Royal Mail And First Class Post

EDM number 1210 in 2009-10, proposed by Andrew Mackinlay on 30/03/2010.
Categorised under the topic of Postal services.

That this House calls for an independent investigation into the performance of Royal Mail in its service from the time of collection to time of delivery, particularly in relation to its service between Northern Ireland and London and other regions of the UK and London; is dismayed that some first class post, appropriately stamped, is taking up to six days to be delivered, when neither poor weather nor industrial action can be used by management as an excuse; and considers that one of the measures of a truly United Kingdom is its ability to be linked by a swift and efficient postal system.

This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
