That this House congratulates Leicester City Football Club ambassador and ex-England footballer Alan Birchenall, Leicester-born author of the famous Adrian Mole books, Sue Townsend and singer with a career spanning decades who was brought up in Leicester, Engelbert Humperdinck, after the decision taken by Leicester City Council to award the trio the Honorary Freedom of the City of Leicester; recognises the excellent contribution that these three people have made to the City of Leicester over the years; and calls for the people of Leicester to join in celebration of this wonderful achievement.
