Heart Of Wales Line

EDM number 884 in 2008-09, proposed by Martin Caton on 25/02/2009.
Categorised under the topic of Railways.

That this House supports the campaign to make full use of the railway route between Swansea and Shrewsbury via Llandrindod Wells; recognises the considerable potential of this currently grossly underused line as a public transport and freight spine for the local people and businesses it serves; recognises its capacity to provide a through route between the North West of England and South West Wales; points to its value in developing sustainable tourism, bringing visitors to extremely beautiful parts of Wales and England, as well as being a tourist attraction in its own right; and therefore urges immediate action to make best use of this route.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
