Assistance For Pensioners

EDM number 828 in 2008-09, proposed by Daniel Kawczynski on 23/02/2009.
Categorised under the topic of Pensions.

That this House recognises the Financial Assistance Scheme to be woefully inadequate for the purpose of helping those whose pensions have been wound up; further recognises that faith in the pension system must be restored and can only be so restored through Government action; and proposes that the qualifying date, for which benefits accrued will be increased, be extended significantly beyond the 1997 cut-off date so as to ensure a decent standard of living for British pensioners who have had their pension funds wound up.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
