That this House congratulates the British Trust for Ornithology for promoting the National Nest Box week which runs from 14 to 21 February; notes with regret the large decline in garden bird species, but notes that St Valentine's Day is usually the start of birds pairing up for the new breeding season; believes it is vital that more people realise the importance of nest boxes to the survival of bird species; and urges everyone with a garden, no matter how small, and whether in town or country, to participate in Nest Box Week and save more of the UK's declining bird species.
