Nurse Caroline Petrie

EDM number 690 in 2008-09, proposed by Jeffrey Donaldson on 04/02/2009.
Categorised under the topics of Health staff and professions and Religion and faith communities.

That this House notes with concern the decision of the North Somerset Primary Care Trust to suspend community nurse Caroline Petrie on the grounds that she had given a prayer card to one of her patients; believes this action amounts to religious persecution against Ms Petrie; and calls on the Government to preserve the principle of civil and religious liberty in the United Kingdom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
