Nationalisation Of The Public Utilities And Transport Services

EDM number 608 in 2008-09, proposed by Dai Davies on 28/01/2009.
Categorised under the topics of Industry, Railways, Roads, Utilities and Economic policy.

That this House believes it is in the national interest to bring back into public ownership the energy and water utilities, and the rail and bus companies; further believes that public investment should be directed into successful service sectors, the profits from which should be invested in manufacturing sectors; and believes the Government needs to introduce more radical, progressive economic measures to benefit the majority of the people in the country.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
