First Capital Connect

EDM number 580 in 2008-09, proposed by Joan Ryan on 26/01/2009.
Categorised under the topic of Railways.

That this House is appalled that passengers using First Capital Connect train services who have recently had to endure above inflation fare hikes in January are now faced with cuts to ticket office opening hours which will see offices open for around 800 fewer hours a week than at present; believes that replacing staff with ticket machines will make passengers feel less safe at stations and reduce the quality and range of services available; and therefore calls on First Capital Connect to withdraw its proposals.

This motion has been signed by a total of 29 MPs.
