That this House notes the commencement of the Presidency of the United States of America of Barack Obama; wishes him well in his endeavours not just in the US but across the world; salutes the present day heroism of people like Captain Chesley B Sullenberger III, as by his actions 155 passengers survived the US Airways plane landing on the Hudson River; and urges both the people and President of the US not to forget the heroic actions in the past of those hardy and innovative souls who helped establish, build and develop the fledging US by their Ulster Scots ingenuity and passion.
