Closure Of Dhl Aintree

EDM number 404 in 2008-09, proposed by George Howarth on 12/01/2009.
Categorised under the topic of Postal services.

That this House notes with grave concern the proposed closure of DHL in Aintree with a loss of 39 direct employees and an additional 13 or more self-employed drivers; expresses concern that the management has not given any convincing reason as to why it is necessary to move the depot from Aintree; and calls on DHL to engage seriously with the workforce and their trade union with a view to exploring the possibility of keeping the Aintree site open.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
