Conduct Of Lord Laidlaw
EDM number 391 in 2008-09, proposed by Gordon Prentice on 12/01/2009.
Categorised under the topics of Political parties and Members of the Lords.
That this House notes with concern that Lord Laidlaw donated over £100,000 to the Conservative Party in 2008 despite his residence in Monaco and his status as a tax exile; records its astonishment that the Official Opposition accepted the donations without demur; and believes it is inappropriate for political parties to accept donations from those who are not UK residents for tax purposes.
This motion has been signed by a total of 35 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
