City Bonuses (No. 2)

EDM number 2050 in 2008-09, proposed by John McDonnell on 14/10/2009.
Categorised under the topics of Financial institutions and Pay.

That this House recalls that every year since 2005 a number of hon. Members have supported early day motions calling upon the Government to take action against the obscene level of City bonuses; notes with concern recent reports that this year's City Christmas bonuses are forecast to total at least £5 billion; and once again calls upon the Government to take decisive action to tackle this unacceptable level of bonuses and the return of the bonus culture in the City.

This motion has been signed by a total of 51 MPs.
