That this House pays tribute to Major Tom Ronaghan who is retiring after a military career spanning 47 years; notes that Major Ronaghan joined the Infantry Junior Leaders in 1962 before being posted to the Kings Own Border Regiment in 1964, retiring from the Regular Army in 1989 and then embarking upon a career in the Territorial Army until the present day; recognises that his operational tours included Aden, Northern Ireland and Bosnia in addition to providing aid to civil authorities during the Aberfan disaster and the foot and mouth outbreak; commends his dedication to the Territorial Army, particularly in Chorley, where he formed the Medical Detachment from scratch; thanks him for his exemplary service; and wishes him well for his retirement.
