20th Anniversary Of Bombing Of Panam Flight 103 Over Lockerbie

EDM number 166 in 2008-09, proposed by David Mundell on 08/12/2008.
Categorised under the topic of Terrorism.

That this House notes that 21 December 2008 is the 20th anniversary of the bombing of PanAm Flight 103 over Lockerbie, which killed 243 passengers and 16 crew on board and 11 local people on the ground, thus representing the greatest loss of life in a terrorist atrocity in the United Kingdom; remembers not just all those who lost their lives that night and their families and friends, but also those who assisted in, or were subsequently affected by, the aftermath of the bombing; further notes the continuing impact of the bombing on the local community in the Lockerbie area; and commends the townspeople on their generosity of spirit in the welcome they have given bereaved families and other visitors over the last 20 years.

This motion has been signed by a total of 52 MPs, 2 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
