Petrol Prices

EDM number 795 in 2007-08, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 28/01/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Oil, petrol and natural gas and Roads.

That this House notes that the price of crude oil has recently fallen to $90 per barrel; recognises that this is a consequence of the fluctuations of the stock market which have caused concern over future levels of demand for crude oil; notes that the price of petrol has steadily risen to reach well over 100 pence per litre on the premise that these prices reflect the rise in oil prices; and calls on the main petrol retailers to match the recent decline in oil prices by reducing the price of petrol.

This motion has been signed by a total of 60 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
