That this House congratulates British film and television's triumph at the Golden Globe Awards, including winning the best film and best original score awards for Working Title's Atonement, three awards for Channel 4's drama Longford, including best actor and best actress for Jim Broadbent and Samantha Morton, best TV series for the BBC's Extras and best actor award for Daniel Day Lewis; further congratulates the British films and talent shortlisted for Bafta Film Awards, including 14 nominations for Atonement, including best film, best actor and best actress nominations for Film 4's This Is England and Brick Lane and numerous nominations for British actors and writers; considers this to be a tribute to the world class quality of the UK's film and television industry; and wishes all the British nominees success at the Bafta Film Awards.
