That this House supports the Woodland Trust Christmas Card Recycling Scheme run in conjunction with Recycle Now throughout January 2008, which aims to reach a target of 100 million Christmas cards recycled; urges the public to help exceed last year's record of 93 million cards recycled and 22,000 trees planted, by taking their cards to special recycling bins placed in WH Smith, Tesco, TK Maxx, and Marks and Spencer stores; encourages people who do not traditionally recycle their cards to participate in the scheme; recognises that recycling is crucial in achieving a greener economy and society; and notes that funds raised by the scheme will help the Woodland Trust to plant 24,000 trees, and further contribute towards the Woodland Trust's Tree for All campaign in which 12 million trees will be planted across the UK by a million children.
