Northern Rock Foundation Funding Reductions
EDM number 627 in 2007-08, proposed by Timothy Farron on 07/01/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Arts, Charities, Cultural heritage, Financial institutions and Performing arts.
That this House expresses concern for the cultural and creative industries in Cumbria after the Northern Rock Foundation announced a cut from £22 million to £7 million for 2008 in their allocation of funding for arts and heritage projects; notes that this could jeopardise excellent creative outlets such as the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal; and urges the Government to source extra funding for these projects.
This motion has been signed by a total of 6 MPs.
