Discounted Rail Fares

EDM number 515 in 2007-08, proposed by Timothy Farron on 06/12/2007.
Categorised under the topic of Railways.

That this House notes with concern the lack of an agreement between Arriva and Virgin West Coast concerning the cost of journeys from the North West and Scotland to the South and South West; further notes that unless an agreement between the two parties is reached passengers could face a significant rise in the cost of cross country rail travel; and urges both parties to work imaginatively and collaboratively on the issue to reach a solution which benefits passengers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
