That this House recognises that the emergency services in Gloucestershire covering the Police, Fire and Ambulance showed great foresight in establishing the Tri-Service Control Centre in Quedgeley; further notes the importance of the local knowledge, close co-ordination and proximity of the fire control staff and their police colleagues provided by the Tri-Service Control Centre in Gloucestershire in dealing with emergencies such as this summer's flooding; further notes that the Tri-Service Control Centre is essential for dealing with emergencies in a rural area; and further notes the imperative to prevent the closure of the Tri-Service Control Centre.
