Cross Country Rail Services

EDM number 336 in 2007-08, proposed by Timothy Farron on 21/11/2007.
Categorised under the topic of Railways.

That this House notes with dismay the ending of the Cross Country rail service which will remove direct trains to the South Coast from the North West and Scotland and necessitate passengers changing trains, potentially damaging links between the regions; further notes with concern that this will discourage people from using the rail network which will have a detrimental impact on the environment; and urges the Government to look into reinstating those services from the North West and Scotland to the South Coast.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
