Section 106 Monies
EDM number 2560 in 2007-08, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 25/11/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Housing and Local government.
That this House is concerned that a number of local authorities are sitting on reserves of section 106 monies; recognises that this money is designated for specific projects such as building affordable properties and community facilities; and calls on local authorities to act now by spending this money to help stimulate local economies and provide much needed housing for people who currently cannot afford to buy their own home and cannot access housing association lists or council properties because of long waiting lists.
