That this House congratulates the success of art and craft schemes in preventing crime among young people in Westmorland at the J de V Arts Care Trust; notes that as a result self-esteem is boosted in 80 per cent. of the pupils who attend; recognises that those on the training schemes were prepared to seek paid employment or return to education; and welcomes the potential for such schemes to be employed across the country.
