That this House applauds the work of the young people from the London boroughs of Sutton, Merton and Wandsworth and Guildford involved in the V-funded Access to Musical Theatre project and the Mayhem Musical Theatre Company who are working together to help people with an hearing impairment access and enjoy musical theatre by providing a British Sign Language interpreter for a performance of Seussical the Musical; commends their actions in making this musical one of those very rare occasions when people with an hearing impairment will be able to enjoy a performance to the full; and calls on the Government, local councils and businesses to make more public events accessible by British Sign Language interpreters.
