BBC Drama Village In Birmingham
EDM number 2384 in 2007-08, proposed by Lynne Jones on 30/10/2008.
Categorised under the topic of Broadcasting.
That this House welcomes the announcement that Doctors, the BBC's popular daytime drama, is to stay in Birmingham; fully supports the decisions of the BBC's Network Supply Review, which confirmed that more investment is to be made in Birmingham and that the centre's current drama remit will be expanded; and hopes this heralds a new commitment to television production in the West Midlands and that the future of the BBC Drama Village at the University of Birmingham is now secure.
This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
