X Factor Song For Heroes
EDM number 2374 in 2007-08, proposed by Andrew Pelling on 29/10/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Armed forces, Charities and Performing arts.
That this House applauds the X Factor programme and its contestants for the Song for Heroes single release; notes that it is encouraging that this engagement with the armed forces will help younger generations to appreciate what they owe to the services; further notes that the hard and dedicated work of UK troops will receive the high profile acknowledgement it deserves; and wishes the X Factor contestants every success at they endeavour to raise money for Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in support of the men and women prepared to lay down their lives for Queen and Country, both today and in the past.
