Launch Of First Indian Unmanned Mission To The Moon

That this House congratulates the Indian Space Research Organisation on launching its first unmanned space craft, Chandayaan-1, on an historic mission to the moon; applauds India for its noble aspirations which will contribute to the scientific knowledge and understanding of all nations; welcomes the massive investment this $79 million project represents for the common global wealth of knowledge; and looks forward to the achievement of plans to send an astronaut into space by 2014 and a manned mission to the moon by 2020.
