Compensation Measures For Taxpayers

EDM number 2289 in 2007-08, proposed by Frank Field on 17/10/2008.
Categorised under the topic of Taxation.

That this House welcomes the Government's compensation measures announced in July and implemented in September for those households which lost out due to the 2008-09 tax changes; notes that this action remunerated 4.2 million households which were net losers but still left 1.1 million households worse off; and further notes that this House looks forward to the Pre-Budget Report, believing the Government will honour its commitment to compensate the remainder of those who lost out when the original tax changes came into effect.

This motion has been signed by a total of 58 MPs, 2 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
