British Airways Job Losses At Glasgow Airport
EDM number 2208 in 2007-08, proposed by Jim Sheridan on 08/10/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Aviation, Employment and Service industries.
That this House expresses its concern at the continuing loss of jobs by British Airways staff at Glasgow Airport and other regional airports across the UK; notes that these job losses demonstrate a clear lack of commitment by BA to serving regional airports outside London, are not in the best interests of the travelling public, undermine the long-term security of the workforce and treat regional airports such as Glasgow as trading posts; and believes that British Airways should reconsider this decision or go the whole way and rebrand themselves London Airways.
