Srebrenica Massacre

EDM number 1923 in 2007-08, proposed by Hugo Swire on 01/07/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Crimes of violence, Eastern Europe, Military operations and Western Europe.

That this House remembers the massacre at Srebrenica in 1995 when over 8,500 Bosnian Muslims were killed; notes with concern the failure of the international community to provide sufficient support to the International War Crimes Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in the Hague in its determination to bring Radovan Karadzic, General Ratko Mladic and other wanted war criminals to court; and urges greater support for the High Representative in Bosnia in his efforts to enforce the Dayton Peace Accords and bring Bosnia-Herzegovina into the Euro-Atlantic institutions.

This motion has been signed by a total of 43 MPs.
