That this House notes that 27th June marks Veterans' Day 2008; welcomes the opportunity to celebrate the bravery of the UK's armed forces and the continuing contributions of veterans living in the nation's communities today; commends the many Veterans' Day events taking place across the country; and calls on the Government to honour the Military Covenant to ensure dignity and respect for veterans and their families.
