MEN'S HEALTH AT WORK

EDM number 1870 in 2007-08, proposed by Howard Stoate on 24/06/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Employment and Health education and preventive medicine.

That this House welcomes the Men's Health Forum's National Men's Health Week 2008 focusing on men's health at work; notes the Men's Health Forum's paper Improving male health by taking action in the workplace, the Black Review paper Working for a Healthier Tomorrow, and the study commissioned by the Health Work Wellbeing Executive which concluded that `workplace wellness makes commercial sense'; and calls for investment by business and the NHS in initiatives that deliver male friendly health improvements services in the workplace, and for the Government to create a more flexible NHS in which services such as screening and basic health checks could be taken into the workplace.

This motion has been signed by a total of 96 MPs.
