TANKER DRIVERS' DISPUTE
EDM number 1761 in 2007-08, proposed by John McDonnell on 11/06/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Employment, Industrial relations and Pay.
That this House regrets that Government sources this week have threatened the use of emergency powers against striking tanker drivers, who are members of Unite, including through the drafting-in of soldiers to drive tankers for oil companies; and believes that this inflammatory threat sets back the process of achieving a negotiated settlement in this dispute.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
