That this House celebrates National Independent Traders' Week, which runs from 2nd until 8th June 2008; recognises the need to support independent businesses, especially those which have to contend with the threat posed by supermarkets; notes that supporting independent traders boosts local economies and enhances community; and calls on local and national government to support independent traders wherever possible.
