That this House congratulates Mr Dai Jenkins of Aberystwyth for being awarded a RNLI Gold Badge in recognition of his 50 years' service to the operation of lifeboats in Ceredigion; acknowledges that more than 137,000 lives have been saved due to the outstanding work carried out by the RNLI since its founding in 1824 as the National Institution for the Preservation of Life from Shipwreck; applauds the thousands of volunteers that enable the RNLI to continue in this valuable work; and wishes the charity well for the future.
