That this House congratulates Dorset Art Weeks and Dorset Visual Arts on organising the ninth open studio event in Dorset, which saw over 800 Dorset artists exhibiting in private studios and shared galleries at over 330 venues across the county; and notes the importance of this event, and others like it, in supporting and raising the profile of local artists and giving members of the public the opportunity to meet artists in person and to view, purchase and commission items directly.
