Number Of Written Parliamentary Questions
EDM number 1554 in 2007-08, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 13/05/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Members of Parliament, Parliament and Parliamentary procedure.
That this House notes that on occasion a considerable number of written Parliamentary Questions have been tabled on a single day by hon. Members; understands that a balance must be arrived at, given both the cost of responding to Parliamentary Questions and the entirely justifiable and legitimate duty of hon. Members to probe and question the Government of the day; and calls upon the House authorities to review the provisions allowing a large volume of Questions to be tabled on any given day.
This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
