That this House congratulates Councillor Bob Peters, who this month clocks up 50 years' unbroken service to the community as an elected member on Ringmer Parish Council, many as Chairman; also congratulates Councillor John Cornwell who still serves on Barcombe Parish Council, having first been elected to that authority in May 1956; notes that both individuals, who serve as independents, have over the years contributed a huge amount to the well-being of their parishes, to the wider Lewes District on which Council both have also served, particularly to the farming community; and wishes them continuing success.
