That this House recognises that life sciences employ 30,500 people in Scotland and attracts in excess of £400 million of research funding to Scotland each year; welcomes the Scottish Government's announcement of the creation of a £10 million cell signalling facility under noted scientist, Sir Phillip Cohen; and welcomes the creation of many new jobs in the life sciences sector as a result.
