Criminal Justice System Morale

EDM number 1295 in 2007-08, proposed by John McDonnell on 01/04/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Administration of justice, Courts, Employment, Police and Prisons.

That this House believes that cuts to the police force, Prison Service, probation service, Crown Prosecution Service and the courts are severely affecting the ability of those services to carry out their statutory functions; further believes that pay restraint is undermining morale and will lead to difficulties of recruitment and retention for all the agencies of the criminal justice system; and urges the Government to urgently review the adequacy of the funding of those services.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
