Election Fraud

EDM number 1258 in 2007-08, proposed by John Hemming on 26/03/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Crime, Elections and Electoral systems.

That this House notes the Judgment of Richard Mawrey in the Slough Election Court; further notes in particular his statement that `despite the 2006 Act, the opportunities for easy and effective electoral fraud remain substantially as they were on 4th April 2005'; recognises that there remain material problems with the system of electoral registration in the UK; and calls for urgent action from the Government to restrain fraud in the creation of electoral registers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
