2011 Census And Lockheed Martin

EDM number 1185 in 2007-08, proposed by Diane Abbott on 13/03/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Census and Data protection.

That this House is concerned at the possibility that American company Lockheed Martin will win the contract for the 2011 Census; notes that the company is heavily involved in the production of missiles and integrated threat information; further notes that 80 per cent. of the company's business is with the US Administration; believes that due to the nature of the company many people in the UK will not feel confident in providing personal information for the Census; and calls on the Office of National Statistics to avoid contracting the 2011 Census to Lockheed Martin.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
