That this House notes that the Proms play a central role in the calendar of British cultural events providing a musical extravaganza for everyone to enjoy; recognises that there are a number of Proms events throughout the UK raising money for charities and good causes such as hospices; in addition pays tribute to the wonderful orchestras that perform at Proms events; and looks forward to the Proms continuing to play a significant role in British cultural life.
