Welsh Week At Westminster
EDM number 914 in 2006-07, proposed by Mark Williams on 20/02/2007.
That this House congratulates the Refreshment Department on its decision to hold a Welsh Week at Westminster in the week of 26th February, following last year's successful event; notes that cheeses from across Wales will again be available in the dining rooms, including Gorwydd Caerphilly, an award-winning cheese from Ceredigion; further notes that Westminster will be celebrating St David's Day in style, when House restaurants will be serving traditional Welsh dishes; welcomes the recognition given to Welsh beer this year by the Stranger's Bar, which will be hosting the Breconshire Brewery's Golden Valley Ale from 1st March for a week; and hopes that henceforth there will be an annual event at Westminster to celebrate the quality and variety of Welsh food.
