Arms Embargo On North Korea

EDM number 825 in 2006-07, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 05/02/2007.

That this House notes with concern the refusal of the Spanish government to approve the agreement bringing the European Union into line with United Nations sanctions against North Korea; expresses its dismay that narrow-minded thinking has been placed ahead of efforts to improve international peace and security; and urges the Government and its EU partners to remonstrate with the Spanish government for putting its interest in Gibraltar before such an important treaty, which is necessary for stopping the supply of arms to North Korea.

This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
