Relocation Of Royal Mail Sorting Office In Coventry
EDM number 640 in 2006-07, proposed by Jim Cunningham on 16/01/2007.
That this House calls on the Royal Mail to reconsider its decision to relocate its sorting office from Coventry to Northampton; is concerned that the relocation will be detrimental to the postal service in Coventry and the Coventry and Warwickshire area; demands that meaningful negotiations with staff and trade unions be entered into and the general public consulted on the matter; and further demands that Royal Mail discuss alternative options and sites for relocating in Coventry with the above parties and Coventry City Council.
