Police Funding In Greater Manchester

leave out from `House' to end and insert `notes that Government funding for Greater Manchester Police was £315.6 million in 1996-97 and will be £498.4 million in 2007-08, an increase of £183 million; further notes that in March 2006 there were 1,037 more police officer numbers and 714 more police support staff than in March 1997; further notes that Greater Manchester Police had 251 police community support officers on 31st March 2006 with a target for April 2007 of 828; and looks forward to continuing improvement of police performance in reducing crime.'.
