Washington And Coalfields Primary Care Centre
EDM number 598 in 2006-07, proposed by Fraser Kemp on 10/01/2007.
That this House welcomes the announcement of a new Washington and Coalfields Primary Care Centre; further welcomes the investment of £8.9 million of new Government funding for the centre, which is the largest ever investment in health services in the area; notes that the facilities will include kidney dialysis, cancer treatment, sexual health clinics and weight management projects; further notes that the facilities should be open by next year and should lead to a great boost in health provision in Washington and throughout the Coalfields area; and congratulates local councillors and the primary care trust in their successful campaign to win this huge investment in local people's health which provides facilities previously unavailable in Washington and the Coalfields.
This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
