Teenage Cancer Trust Identity Card Scheme
EDM number 596 in 2006-07, proposed by Andrew Stunell on 10/01/2007.
That this House notes that six teenagers a day are diagnosed with cancer; notes that the diagnosis of cancer in young people is both devastating and disruptive to normal life and in particular that the effect of treatment may mean that they are not always able to comply with dress codes for bars and clubs; further notes the success of the pioneering Don't hide it, wear it with pride identity card scheme allowing patients access to such facilities; congratulates the Christie Crew for initiating this pioneering scheme; welcomes the Teenage Cancer Trust's roll-out of the scheme nationwide; and invites landlords and proprietors to sign up to it forthwith.
