Military Personnel And British Citizenship
EDM number 4 in 2006-07, proposed by Bob Russell on 15/11/2006.
That this House calls on the Government to enable members of HM Armed Forces who are not British citizens, but who wish to apply for British citizenship, to be able to count their time serving in the Forces as residence qualification; and believes that this should be regardless of whether the service is in the UK or on deployments overseas.
